REAL MILWAUKEE WEDDING — Midwestern Bride

Please meet Cody and Bryan, the happiest-sweetest-most fun loving couple! Married on Flag Day we celebrated their wedding at Ivy House in Milwaukee with an outdoor ceremony setup runway style. As guests entered the outdoor pavillion and garden guests were met by ivy covered walls, and subtle touches of natural wood and the occasional disco ball.

The grooms got ready in the onsite bridal upstair bridal suite with their party and roamed the mural clad alleys along with the local bridges by the lake for a laid back and casual morning. Cody and Bryan didn’t want to spend their wedding day hiding from one another so the got ready together assisting one another with their cufflinks, mirrored lapel boutonnieres, and final tweaks to their vows. When the wedding hour hit they walked down the aisle side by side as guests cheered them on like the final walk of a Parisian runway showcase. Traditional was never the main goal, but we nailed the authenticity.

Our grooms kept it relatively small with just over 100 guests an personalized terra cotta plates that served as both placecards, bread plates, and favors for their wedding takeaway. The reception space was covered in greens, bundt orange hues, and soft romantic details. There were sprouted grasses, queen ann’s lace, ranunculus, and lisanthus. The party sat at a central caterpillar table with a modern seating arrangement surrounded by long family style tables all the way around the room.

Following our delicious meal from Tall Guy and hilarious speeches Milwaukee Airwaves whisked us away to the sounds of upbeat discos and stacked the outdoor dance floor. Guests wrapped up in pashmenas and light blankets, enjoyed mini cones from Purple Door Ice Cream, and our grooms shocked us with one more surprise.

As guests wandered the outdoor space adorned in glittering disco balls and playful accents the grooms run back onto the dance floor clad in matching sequin two piece suits and WOWed their guests. They took to the dance floor with a fully choreographed disco song mashup and it made our hearts soar!

Bryan and Cody were a dream.

They were gracious and kind, they were so affecianate and loving with one another, and their day was one to remember for so many reasons. Thank you for making our job of celebrating love so easy
