Amelia + Sam (The Commodore)
What makes a wedding gallery really stick with you?
It’s different person to person. Sometimes it’s in the variety and how you feel like it carries you through the day. For some it’s the styling and editing techniques used, the emotionality, the details captured. It can be any number of things for different people but for us it comes down to polish. Does it have a vision and a clear path start to finish? Is there consistency in the style? Is there comfortability in the couple? So many things play into this.
But one thing is for sure.
You can’t fake connection. Not with one another, your design, or your guests. And not with your photographer.
I can tell by your gallery if you were enjoying your time with person behind the camera.
I am a girl all about the details but I am also a Midwesterner at heart. I want to see and feel the emotions of people on the day. I can dream about centerpieces and experiences all day but if you aren’t present in your gallery it is all for not.
The Commodore located in Delafield Wisconsin is a stunningly designed lakeside restaurant that is a dream space for couples. With pristine lake views, a tree swing, a highly curated interior, guest house along the water, and incredible food its just a dream.
With all that natural light and water reflections having an experienced photographer who no only LOVES that style but knows how to use it is crucial. The imagery of the ceremony BLEW ME AWAY! It may have felt bright on the day to the couple but in the images… they are glowing. She tamed those beams and captured them beautifully.
This was an absolute dream to be a part of and we are so grateful to the entire wedding team for pulling together this stunning day! Cheers to the beautiful couple and thank you for bringing us along the way to celebrate alongside of you.
